successfully participated in various job<br />

throughout the DOD and has<br />
re-evaluated and re-promulgated the<br />
job evaluation policy for comment.<br />
Another achievement by this<br />
p<strong>rogramme</strong> is the distribution <strong>of</strong> an<br />
instruction to all the management and<br />
renewal sections (M&RS), in line with<br />
the <strong>Department</strong> <strong>of</strong> Public Service and<br />
Administration (DPSA) requirements,<br />
regarding the development <strong>of</strong> a<br />
p<strong>rogramme</strong> to be followed for the<br />
compulsory evaluation <strong>of</strong> posts from<br />
salary levels 9 to 12 within the required<br />
timeframes.<br />
The LOQUACIOUS team is providing<br />
support by means <strong>of</strong> the MooD<br />
toolset in terms <strong>of</strong> capturing business<br />
processes and models in various pilot<br />
sites busy with restructuring initiatives<br />
in the DOD. Three MooD toolset<br />
and SA DOD Enterprise Architecture<br />
Framework training sessions<br />
commenced for identified members <strong>of</strong><br />
the DOD. This was done to transfer<br />
toolset knowledge to a wider audience<br />
in preparation for the MooD toolset<br />
and repository rollout in the DOD.<br />
All DOD deployments and extensions<br />
<strong>of</strong> existing deployments were done<br />
according to the prescribed legal and<br />
constitutional prescripts and guidelines.<br />
Represented the DOD at the<br />
discussions with the Government <strong>of</strong><br />
the USA on African policy issues.<br />
Undertook research and participated in<br />
African multilateral forums, namely the<br />
AU and the SADC.<br />
Attended SADC and AU meetings,<br />
providing inputs through the<br />
articulation <strong>of</strong> SA Government<br />
position in the deliberations <strong>of</strong> the<br />
meetings and informing the DOD <strong>of</strong><br />
outcomes and implications.<br />
Successfully represented the DOD as a<br />
member <strong>of</strong> the technical team fielded<br />
to the Democratic Republic <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Congo (DRC) to assist the Congolese<br />
with the modalities <strong>of</strong> the SSR Master<br />
Plan, in December 2007.<br />
