DOD PROGRESS ON ACTION PLANS<br />

The Minister <strong>of</strong> <strong>Defence</strong> approved a request<br />

for condonement regarding the submission<br />

<strong>of</strong> the 384 non-statutory force files for audit<br />

purposes.<br />

The appointment <strong>of</strong> competent<br />

personnel in current vacancies and<br />

that training is given to existing and<br />

newly appointed staff in respect<br />

<strong>of</strong> financial management (finance,<br />

personnel and logistics).<br />

DOD PROGRESS ON ACTION PLANS<br />

The filling <strong>of</strong> vacant posts within the DOD<br />

is an ongoing process and is regarded as a<br />

high priority. Employees are trained on a<br />

continuous basis by means <strong>of</strong> formal courses<br />

as well as skills training at external institutions.
