MODULES (FXS-4/8) > TEST > LOOPBACK<br />

Write security: 3; Read security: 5<br />

Activates loopback tests on a per-port basis.<br />

OFF Normal operation.<br />

ANALOG Loops the 2W test on itself.<br />

DIGITAL Loops digital data entering the FXS from the <strong>ATLAS</strong> controller on itself.<br />

BOTH Processes both analog and digital loopback tests.<br />

Loopback tests disrupt the call in progress on the selected FXS port.<br />

Write security: 3; Read security: 5<br />

All of the following configurable parameters apply to the individual FXS ports.<br />

MODULES (FXS-4/8) > CONFIG > PRT<br />

Read security: 5<br />

Displays the port number. There are 4 available interfaces on the Quad FXS Option Module and 8 on the<br />

Octal FXS Option Module.<br />

MODULES (FXS-4/8) > CONFIG > PORT NAME<br />

Write security: 3; Read security: 5<br />

Accepts any alpha-numeric name up to 16 characters long, to uniquely identify each port on the FXS<br />

Option Module.<br />

MODULES (FXS-4/8) > CONFIG > RX GAIN<br />

Write security: 3; Read security: 5<br />

Adjusts the (+)Gain and (-)Attenuation of the relative signal received by the FXS. The range includes 0<br />

(loudest), -3, and -6 dB (softest).<br />

MODULES (FXS-4/8) > CONFIG > TX GAIN<br />

Write security: 3; Read security: 5<br />

Adjusts the (+)Gain and (-)Attenuation of a digital signal transmitted by the FXS into the digital PCM<br />

stream. The range includes +3 (loudest), 0, -3, and -6 dB (softest).<br />

When the digital signal is connected through the PSTN, a setting of -3 dB should be used.<br />
