SYSTEM CONFIG > ETHERNET PORT > MAC ADDRESS<br />

Displays the system Ethernet Media Access Control (MAC) address. This field is read-only.<br />

SYSTEM CONFIG > ETHERNET PORT > ETHERNET SPEED<br />

Write security: 2; Read security: 5<br />

Defines the rate at which the ETHERNET port operates. Choose from 10 MBPS or AUTO 10/100. When the<br />

unit is set for AUTO 10/100, the <strong>ATLAS</strong> <strong>550</strong> auto-detects the data rate of the LAN and sets itself to that<br />

rate, either 10 or 100 Mbps.<br />

SYSTEM CONFIG > ETHERNET PORT > DHCP STATUS<br />

Read security: 5<br />

Displays the current status of the DHCP client in the <strong>ATLAS</strong> <strong>550</strong>. The following states are possible (per<br />

RFC 2131): INIT, SELECTING, REQUESTING, BOUND, RENEWING, REBINDING, INIT-REBOOT, REBOOTING, and<br />

NON-INIT.<br />

SYSTEM CONFIG > ETHERNET PORT > LEASE EXPIRES<br />

Read security: 5<br />

Displays the date and time the current IP address lease will expire and a new one will be necessary.<br />

SYSTEM CONFIG > ETHERNET PORT > RELEASE<br />

Write security: 2; Read security: 5<br />

Forces the <strong>ATLAS</strong> <strong>550</strong> to release the currently assigned IP address.<br />

Once the IP address is manually released, the <strong>ATLAS</strong> <strong>550</strong> will not be available for Telnet<br />

access until a manual renew is performed.<br />

SYSTEM CONFIG > ETHERNET PORT > RENEW<br />

Write security: 2; Read security: 5<br />

Forces the <strong>ATLAS</strong> <strong>550</strong> to send a message to the DHCP server requesting a new IP address lease.<br />

SYSTEM CONFIG > CHAIN PORT<br />

Write security: 2; Read security: 5<br />

Accepts input for configuring the ADMIN or CRAFT port located on the rear of the unit.<br />

SYSTEM CONFIG > CHAIN PORT > PORT NAME<br />

Write security: 2; Read security: 5<br />

Defines the name of the ADMIN or CRAFT port. You can leave this field blank.<br />
