역을 마친 후 헬멧도 없이 내가 오토바이에
사 올라타던 그 전 주간, 한 구호 사역자가 오토
바이 사고로 사망한 적이 있었다. 나는 피곤에 지쳐
있었고 집 방향의 차를 기다리기가 귀찮아졌다. 나
는 부룬디(중앙아프리카의 공화국-역자주)에 있는
배수구 하천의 시멘트 난간에 머리로 먼저 부딪쳤
다. 불필요했던 사고였지만-나는 그것을 미처 깨
