The chromatogram shows the analyses of a broad technical polystyrene: part a)<br />

with one PLgel Mixed-C column and part b) with a set of three PLgel Mixed-C<br />

columns. Due to the better separation of the column set and the reduced<br />

influence of band broadening, the calculated molecular weight averages are in<br />

the latter case closer to the values determined with reference methods,<br />

e.g. light scattering (see table).<br />
