Resolution of theCity Clerk File No.Agenda No.Approved:Res. 09-73910.I.LLSEP 0 9 2009City of Jersey City, N.J.COUNCILOFFERED AND MOVED ADOPTION OF THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION:WHEREAS, there exists a need for Police & homeland Security Equipment and Suppliesfor the Deparment of Fire; andWHEREAS, pursuant to the Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:1 1-12 allowingmunicipalities to use state contract without public bidding; andWHEREAS, AA Emergency Supply, 635 North Broadway, White Plains, New York10603" being in possession of State Contract A 7 4027, will furnish and deliver to the City ofJ erseyCity, Deparment of Fire, Police & Homeland Security Equipment & Supplies in the total amountof Twenty Nine Thousand, Two Hundred Sixty Eight Dollars and ($29,268.68) Sixty EightCents: andWHREAS, the Acting Purchasing Director has certified that he considers said quotationto be fair and reasonable; andrequirements ofWHEREAS, these funds are available for this expenditure in accordance withthe Local Budget Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:4-1 et. seq.Department of FireAcct. No. 02-213-40-048 -314 P.O. No. 97340 Amount $29,268.68NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Municipal Council ofthe City ofJersey City that the said quotation of the aforementioned AA Emergency Supply be accepted andtht a contract be awarded to said company in the above amount and the Acting Purchasing Directoris directed to have such a contract drawn up and executed; and be it fuerRESOLVED, that upon certification'by an offcial or employee ofthe City authorized toreceive the material pursuat to the contrct inet, then payment to the contractor shall be made inaccordace with the provisions ofthe Local Fiscal Afairs Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:5-1 et. seq; and be it(continued on page 2)
