AGREEMENTThis Agreement dated the day of , 2009 between theCity of Jersey City, a municipal corporation, with offices at 280 Grove Street, Jersey City, NewJersey 07302 ("City") and Richard Gantner, Esq. of Nee, Beacham & Gantner (Special Counsel").WITNESSTH, that in consideration of the mutual covenants set forth, the City and SpecialCounsel agree as follows:Scope of AgreementSpecial Counsel is hereby retained as an independent contractor to provide the City ofJersey City, the Jersey City Police Department and Mayor Jerramiah Healy with legal services inconnection with the matter of Astriab, et al. v City of Tersey City, et al. for the period of July I, 2009through June 30, 2010 .Affidavit of ServicesSpecial Counsel shall submit a monthly affidavit of services to the Corporation Counsel.The affidavit shall specify in detail the services rendered and the time spent on those services.ConsiderationA. For the above services, Special Counsel shall be compensated at the rate of$125.00 per hour, including expenses. The total amount of this agreement shall not exceed$30,000.B. The Special Counsel shall provide a monthly statement for services rendered.The Special Counsel shall submit to the City adminstration no later than the tenth day of eachmonth an affidavit of services specifing the total number of hours worked/performed during
