City Clerk File No. Res. 09-745Agenda No.10.Z.17Approved: SEP 0 9 2009TITLE:RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A WARD OF A PROFESSIONAL SERCONTRACT TO MELICK-TULLY AND ASSOCIATES,P.GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONSUL-TANTS, IN CONNECTION WITH GEOTECHNICALIENVIRONMENTALANALYSIS OF BLOCK 283.1 HAMILTON PARK - RENOVATION,PROJECT NO. 2007-007, FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRA-TION, DIVISION OF ARCHITECTURECOUNCILRESOLUTION:OFFERED AND MOVED ADOPTION OF THE FOLLOWINGWHEREAS, the City of Jersey City has entered into a contract with Green Construction forthe Renovation of Hamilton Park, Project No. 2007-007;WHEREAS, the City of Jersey City requires the services of a consultinggeotechnical/environmental consulting firm in connection with remedial investigation and remedialaction work plan for containants found at the project site; andWHEREAS, the City has solicited a proposal from Melick-Tully and Associates, P.C.,Geotechnical Engineers and Environmental Consultants; andWHEREAS, the City is acquiring these services as a statutorily permitted contract pursuantto the provisions ofN.J.S.A. 19:44A-20,5(Pay to Play Law); andWHEREAS, Melick-Tully and Assòciates, P.e., 117 Canal Road, South Bound Brook,New Jersey 08880 possesses the necessary qualifications to undertake this project and has submittedthe attched proposal dated July 6, 2009; and .WHEREAS, Melick-Tullyand Associates, P.C., have submitted its Certification ofCompliance with the City's Contractor'Pay-to-Play Reform Ordinance 08- 1 28 adopted on September3,2008; andWHEREAS, these fuds are available for this expenditure from Account Nwnber:04-215-55-851-990 P.O. # 9 flSólLl $33,500.00WHEREAS, EugeneM.
