Resolution of the Cityof Jersey City, N.J.City Clerk File No.Agenda No.Approved:Res. 09-7651O.Z.37SEP 0 9 2009TITLE:A RESOLUTION SUPPLEMENTING THE MANUAL OF BUSDESIGNATIONS OF THE CITY OF JERSEY CITY REPEALING AEASTBOUND, FAR-SIDE BUS STOP ON SIP AVENUE ~ FREEMANA VENUE, ALL TIMES; A WESTBOUND, FAR-SIDE BUS STOP ON SIPA VENUE ~ FREEMAN AVENUE, ALL TIMES AND A WESTBOUND,FAR-SIDE BUS STOP ON CONGRESS STREET ~ PATERSON PLANKROAD, ALL TIMESThe Municipal Council as a wholeresolution:offered and moved adoption ofthe followingWHEREAS, the provisions ofN.J.S.A. 39:4-197 (3) (a) provide thatpromulgate regulations designating, deleting and/or amending bus stops; andthe Municipality may make andWHEREAS, the provisions of Section 3-S4(A)(C)(6) of the Codeof the City of Jersey City provide thatthe Municipal Engineer may make and promulgate such regulations subject to Municipal Council approval byresolution; andWHEREAS, the Municipal Engineer has proposed, for the purose of increasing the flow of traffic andimproving both vehicular and pedestrian safety, that the attached regulations be promulgated (Nos. 09-0l4A,09-l0SA and 09-076) repealing the bus stop at the locations described;andNOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Municipal Council of the City of jersey City; that.City:a. The attached regulations shall be a part of the Manual of Bus Stop Designations of the City of Jersey(No. 09-0l4A)Repeal an eastbound, far-side bus stop on Sip Avenue ~ Freeman Avenue, all times(No. 09-0 1 SA)Repeal a westbound, far-side bus stop on Sip Avenue ~ Freeman Avenue, all times(No. 09-076) Repeahi westbound, far-side bus stop on Congress Street ~ Paterson Plan Road, alltimesb. A copy of each regulation shall be kept on file by the City Clerk for public inpection.c. The City Clerk and the Corporation Council may change any chapter numbers, aricle numbers and, section numbers in order to avoid possible accidental repealers of existing provisions.d.
