Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (Port Authority J and the Port Authority Trans-Hudson Corporation (PATH) own a portion of the Propert and maintain on their portion a PATH substationnecessàry for the operation 6fthe PATH Interstate Railroad System; andWHEREAS, on May 15,2008, pursuant to Resolution 08-440, the Parties executed a Memorandum ofUnderstanding (MOU) in connection with the redevelopment ofthe Washington Street Powerhouse; andWHREAS, the Paries now desire to extend the tepn of MOU for one (1) year, with up to four (4)additional renewals of one (i) year each.WHREAS, the City is authorized to exec,ute the MOUpursuant to N.J.S.A 32:1-35.57 and.N.J.S.A.40A: 11-5(2).NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Municipal Councilof the City of Jersey City that:1. The Mayor or Business Administrator is authorized to execute an extension of the:, May 15,2008Memorandum of Understanding with the Port Authority of New York .and New Jersey, the PortAuthority Trans-Hudson Corporation, and the Jersey City Redevelopment Agency in connectionwith the redevelopment of the Washin¡non Street Powerhouse; and2.
