If it is not obtain a cable that is rated for the outlet.• Make sure that the power source has power.The power supply is not supplying power to the router. If a power supply has failed, you mustreplace it.• If the LED is amber, you must replace the fan module.If a problem persists after taking the actions described in this table, contact technical support.Displaying the module statusAfter you have attached a PC or terminal to the console port or Ethernet port on the managementmodule and the router has initialized successfully, press Enter to display the CLI prompt in theterminal emulation window. This example is a prompt for a 16-slot router.Brocade>If you do not see this prompt, check the following items.1. Make sure the cable is securely connected to your PC or terminal and the console port orEthernet port.2. Check the settings in your terminal emulation program. In addition to the session settingslisted in “Attaching a PC or terminal to the console port or Ethernet port” on page 140, makesure the terminal emulation session is running on the same serial port you attached to theconsole port.When you see this prompt (MLXe-16# or MLXe-32#), you are connected to the system and candisplay module status using the CLI.
