Installing a Brocade NetIron XMR 16000 router 4DANGERIf the installation requires a different power cord than the one supplied with the router, makesure you use a power cord displaying the mark of the safety agency that defines the regulationsfor power cords in your country. The mark is your assurance that the power cord can be usedsafely with the router.Connecting DC powerYou can use a DC power for the Brocade NetIron XMR 16000router by installing a DC-to-DC powersupply. DC power must be supplied at 48 V and 30 A. The DC-to-DC power supply provides the DCpower to the router at 12 V and 100 A.DANGERThe procedure in this section is for qualified service personnel.Follow these steps to connect a DC power source.1. Remove the transparent plastic cover.3. Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to remove the power lugs, as shown in Figure 189.4.
