The Committee on Electric Lines and Lights is
hereby requested to consider the advisability of installing a White Way
System of street lighting in the Magoun Square section taking in Medford
street from Trull street and Norwood avenue to Broadway and Broadway from-
Norwood avenue to Cedar street.

Aldermen Lynch and Grattan offered the following resolution
Resolved:
It is the sense of this Board that his honor
the Mayor should make an appointment of a sergeant in the Police Department
to fill the vacancy existing at the present time.

Alderman Moran offered the following orders,
Ordered:
That a special committee consisting of three
members of this board be appointed by the president to investigate the bus
service and the reason for the recent increase in fare transportation from
Central square Cambridge through Union square Somerville to Sullivan square
Chariest own, such fare having been doubled since the establishment of bus
service v/hereas previously a through line of street cars was operated, between
th'e above mentioned points, the rate of fare being six cents.
The president appointed Alderman Moran, Chairman, vice-presi-
dent Crowley, Alderman Rafferty.

It is hereby ordered that a permit to remove
two buildings from 119 and 125 College avenue to Warner, street, Medford,
granted in Board of Aldermen March 14, 1929 and approved by the Mayor March
•18, 1929 to Wilbur F. Lewis is hereby cancelled as the work of moving
