Question came on laying the report <strong>of</strong> committee on the table,<br />

this was lost by a vote <strong>of</strong> 10 to 6. Question then came bn-jreferrihg same-back<br />

t& Committee on Licenses and Permits. This was lost by a vote <strong>of</strong> 9 to 7.<br />

Question then came on accepting the report <strong>of</strong>_Committee. Aldermen Stynes,<br />

Cronin, Havican, O'Connell and Walsh invoked Section 15 and further action<br />

delayed.<br />

Order appropriating $1,000 for Law Department pending adop-<br />

tion <strong>of</strong> annual budget for Legislative Counsel, which at the meeting <strong>of</strong> Mar.<br />

15,1930 further action was delayed under section 15 <strong>of</strong> the city charter, re-<br />

ceived action as follows:<br />

Question came on the adoption <strong>of</strong> the order. Vote was by roll<br />

call, 16 voting in the affirmative, 4 in the negative, 1 being absent and<br />

the order was read twice and adopted.-<br />

Approved by the mayor April 1, 1950.<br />

Petition Arthur D. Raymond for license for the storage <strong>of</strong><br />

gasoline which at the meeting <strong>of</strong> Mar. 13, 1930, further action was delayed<br />

under section 15 <strong>of</strong> the city charter, received action,as follows:<br />

. Question came on accepting the report <strong>of</strong> committee and report<br />

was accepted, 12 voting in the affirmative, 4 voting in the negative, 5 being<br />

absent or not voting.<br />

Petition Michele Capodilupo for license for the storage <strong>of</strong><br />

gasoline lots A and B Washington st. or No. 199-201-203, which at the last<br />

meeting, further action was delayed under section 15 <strong>of</strong> the city charter,<br />

received action as follows:<br />

Question came on accepting the report <strong>of</strong> committee. A voice<br />

vote was taken and report <strong>of</strong> committee accepted.<br />

MOTIONS, ORDERS AND RESOLUTIONS.<br />

The president <strong>of</strong>fered the following order,<br />

Ordered:<br />

That bonds <strong>of</strong> the city <strong>of</strong> <strong>Somerville</strong> be issued<br />

Equipment for Collection <strong>of</strong> Ashes and Debris honda in the aggregate<br />

principal sum <strong>of</strong> one hundred"thousand (100,000) dollars. These bonds<br />

may be issued from time to time and are to be dated the first secular day <strong>of</strong><br />

January, April July or u ctober in the year <strong>of</strong> their issue and made payable<br />

in accordance with the provisions <strong>of</strong>Chapter 44 <strong>of</strong> the General Laws as amended<br />

the proceeds derived from the sale <strong>of</strong> the said one hundred thousand (100,000)'<br />

dollars <strong>of</strong> bonds to be used for and are hereby appropriated for the Equipment<br />

for Collection <strong>of</strong> Ashes and Debris namely purchase <strong>of</strong> trucks and other equipment<br />

necessary for the above mentioned, collections.<br />

The treasurer <strong>of</strong> the city <strong>of</strong> <strong>Somerville</strong> with the approval <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Mayor, is hereby authorized to sell said Equipment for the Collection <strong>of</strong><br />

Ashes and Debris bonds at such time or times as in his judgment will best<br />

serve the interest <strong>of</strong> the city, at not less than par and accrued interest.<br />
