inhabitants of the city, and whereas, legal notices of change in ordinances,
hearings on -petitions to be held before the Board of Aldermen, etc. are of
such importance that every means should be taken to inform the public.
It is- hereby ordered that section 4 of chapter 42 of the Revised
Ordinances of 1929, which reads,- "In such case where it is provided
by law or by ordinance that notice of such hearing shall be given by publication,
such notice shall be published in the weekly newspaper having the
largest circulation of such newspapers published in that part''of the city
in which the premises stated in the petition are located. 'For the purpose
of this chapter the city is divided into two parts by the middle line of
Cedar street and Cedar street e xtended." be amended to_r_e_acL_a_s_f.o.ll.o.w.3.:-
Section 4. In such case where.it is provided by lav/ or by ordinance that notice
of such hearing shall be given by publication such notice shall be published
in the weekly newspaper having the largest circulation of such news-,
papers published in the city, if any, and in the daily newspaper having the
largest circulation of such newspapers published in the city, if any,
That part of section 4 which 1 divides the city into two parts
is hereby repealed.

That The Century Indemnity Company be re-
leased from future liability as surety on the bond of Hyman Hootstein for a
sign over the sidewalk ,at 90 Broadway, said sign having been taken down;
License granted to Hyman Hootstein for a sign at 90 Broadway
Is hereby revoked.

The city clerk is hereby authorized to notify said bonding
company of this release.
