board, Thursday, May 22, 1930 at 8.00 o'clock p.m. on the matter of the pe-'
tition of Henry F. Rafferty that the zoning of 145 Summer street be 1 changed
from Residence "C" to Business, and the City Clerk is hereby instructed to
give proper notice of such hearing as required by law, the expense so in-
curred to "be charged to Board of Aldermen Expenses account.
Read twice and adopted.

Petition William Wolfe for change of zoning 906 Broadway, reported an or-
der.

Ordered:
That a public hearing be given before this
board Thursday evening, May 22, 1930 at 8.00 o'clock P.M. on the matter.of
the petition of William Wolfe that the zoning of lots 46 and 47 numbered 906
Broadway at the corner of Billingham street be changed from Residence "A"
to Business, and the city clerk is hereby instructed to give proper notice
of such hearing as required by law, the expense so incurred to be charged
to Board of Aldermen Expenses account.
Question came on the adoption of the order. Aid. Gobron in-
voked Section 15 and further action delayed for this meeting.
Order amending section 4 of Chapter 42 of the Revised Ordinances of 1929,
reported a draft of ordinance,

An Ordinance Relative to notices of Hearings, etc.
Be it ordained by the Board of 'Aldermen of the city of Somerville,
as follows:
Section 1. Chapter 42 of the Revised Ordinances of 1929, an
ordinance pertaining to net ices of hearings, etc., is hereby amended by
striking out section 4 and inserting in place thereof the following: "in
such case where it is provided by law or by ordinance that notice of such
hearing shall be given by publication, such notice shall be published in
the weekly newspaper having the largest circulation of such newspapers published
in .the city, if any, .and in the daily newspaper having the largest
circulation of such newspapers published in the city, if any.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage.
