hereby transferred from Reserve Fund, Surplus from Overlays account to Public
Buildings Department, Maintenance Municipal Buildings account.

The construction of additions and alterations
to the existing Southern Junior High School and the existing Western Junior
High School is hereby authorized. The expense so incurred to be charged to
Southern Junior High School and Western Junior High School Additions and Al-
terations account.

Ordered:
The sum of thirty-one thousand five hundred
dollars ($51,500) is hereby transferred from Excess and Deficiency Account tc
Southern and Western Junior High Schools Additions and Alterations Account,
said total being the amount required by law to be appropriated in connection
with the bond issue for the Southern Junior High School Additions and Altera-
tions bond and Western Junior High School Additions and Alterations bond.

Ordered:
That bonds of the city of Somerville be'.issued
WESTERN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL ADDITIONS AND ALTERATIONS bonds in
the aggregate principal sum of three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000).
These bonds may be issued from time to time and to be dated the first seculai
day of January, April, July or October .in the year of their issue and made
payable in accordance with the provisions of chapter forty-four of the General
JLaws, as amended, the proceeds derived from the. sale of the said three
hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) of bonds to be used for, and are hereby
appropriated for the construction of additions and alterations to increase
the floor space of said high school buildings, including the cost of original
equipment and furnishings.
The treasurer- of the city of Somerville with the approval of
the mayor, is hereby authorized to sell said High School Additions and Alterations
bonds at such time or times as in his judgment will best serve the
interests-of the city, at not less than par and accrued interest.
