It is hereby adjudged and determined that the
public ways except Mystic avenue from Connecticut avenue to the Medford line
and Walnut street from Highland avenue to Pearl street, shall be sprinkled
in the present municipal year, in whole at the expense of the abutters
thereon.

Alderman Pearson offered the following order,
Ordered:
Whereas by an order of this Board approved by
the Mayor prior to the offering of this order, It was adjudged and determined
that certain public ways, all as specified in said order, should be
sprinkled in the present municipal year at the expense in whole of the abutters
thereon.
Now, therefore, it is hereby ADJUDGED, ESTIMATED AND DETER-
MINED as follows, namely:
The expense of the sprinkling of said ways, as in said order
specified for the present municipal year is estimated and determined to be
the sum of forty-eight thousand three hundred dollars; the proportion of
such expense to be borne by the abutters upon such ways is estimated and determined
to be the whole of said expense; the rate to .be assessed upon each
linear foot of frontage of estates upon such ways Is estimated and determined
to be six cents.
The expense determined as aforesaid of such sprinkling to be
borne by the abutters shall be and is hereby assessed in the manner hereinafter
provided upon the estates abutting on said ways in proportion to the
number of linear feet of each estate upon said ways so sprinkled.
The amount of such assessment upon each such estate shall be
determined in accordance with the foregoing provisions., and according to the
law in. such cases made and provided by Maurice F. Ahearn, he being the chair-
man of the board of assessors, and he is hereby designated as the officer to
determine the amount aforesaid. He shall make a list of said ways which the
city has determined shall be sprinkled as aforesaid, which list shall specify
each estate abutting upon each such way, the number of linear feet of eact
such estate upon each such way, the amount per such linear foot of the asses;
ment authorized, and the amount of such assessment on each such estate, and
certify and commit such list to the board of assessors.
I, Maurice F. Ahearn, do solemnly swear that I w ill faithfully
perform the duties incumbent on me under the foregoing order. So help
