The president <strong>of</strong>fered the following orders,<br />

Ordered:<br />

The sum <strong>of</strong> three thousand (5,000) dollars is<br />

hereby transferred from Municipal Buildings Insurance Fund to Public Build-<br />

ings Department, Maintenance Sanitary Buildings account•<br />

Read twice and adopted.<br />

Approved by the mayor June 6, 1930.<br />

Ordered:<br />

Whereas in the settlement <strong>of</strong> claims for damages<br />

for taking <strong>of</strong> land on Summer street for schoolhouse purposes as shown on<br />

"Plan <strong>of</strong> land taken for schoolhouse purposes dated June, 1929 by Ernest W.<br />

Danforth, <strong>City</strong> Engineer" in connection with th addition <strong>of</strong> the Southern Junior<br />

High School, the sum <strong>of</strong> seventy-five thousand (75,000) dollars previously<br />

appropriated by the Board <strong>of</strong> Aldermen July 26, 1929 will be insufficient<br />

to pay all the claims for damages in connection with said taking and it is<br />

necessary to provide additional funds for said purposes, it is hereby<br />

Ordered:<br />

That the sum <strong>of</strong> two thousand sixty-nine and<br />

96/100 (2,069.96) dollars be transferred from the money available in "Tannery_Brook<br />

Drain Constructio_n_Ac.c.o.unt]L_t.Q__ t !Addition Southern Junior High School<br />

Account" to be used for the purposes <strong>of</strong> settlement <strong>of</strong> damages for the taking<br />

<strong>of</strong> land and buildings for schoolhouse purposes as above stated, in addition<br />

to the sum <strong>of</strong> seventy-five thousand (75,000) dollars already appropriated for<br />

those purposes.<br />

make settlement for land and buildings taken for schoolhouse purposes <strong>of</strong><br />

premises numbered 25-35A-25B-27-27A Summer street, said premises being shown<br />

and* marked as land' f now or formerly <strong>of</strong> heirs or defisees <strong>of</strong> Augusta R.Wilson"<br />

.on" pi an <strong>of</strong> land taken for schoolhouse purposes dated June 1929 by Ernest W.<br />

panforth, <strong>City</strong> Engineer" the amount to be paid on said settlement not to ex-<br />

'ceed the sum <strong>of</strong> seventeen thousand five hundred sixty-nine and 96/100 (17;569,<br />

96) dollars * The'-taxes, for .the year 1929 in the sum <strong>of</strong> three hundred ninetyfour<br />

and 96/100 (394,96) dollars are to be paid by the.owners, namely, George<br />

r. Wilson and Alice A. Wilson, who are also to pay and discharge a mortgage<br />

[held by the East Cambridge Savings Bank out <strong>of</strong> the proceeds <strong>of</strong> said sum..<br />

The expense so incurred on account <strong>of</strong> said settlement is to be<br />

charged to "Addition Southern Junior High Account" as provided for in appropriation<br />

made by the Board <strong>of</strong> Aldermen for schoolhouse purposes on July 26,<br />

as land now or formerly <strong>of</strong> Domenico Carra and Ange 1 a Carra" on "plan <strong>of</strong> land<br />

taken for schoolhouse purposes dated June, 1929 by Ernest W. Danforth, <strong>City</strong><br />

Engineer", the amount to be paid on said settlement not to exceed the sum <strong>of</strong><br />

Fourteen Thousand, two hundred and fifty ($14,250) Dollars. The present owner<br />

Angela Carra, is to pay and discharge a mortgage held by the East Cambridge<br />

Savings Bank out <strong>of</strong> the proceeds <strong>of</strong> said sum.
