persons have ever been engaged in the illegal selling of intoxicating liquor*
or in keeping places or tenements used for the purpose of illegal gaining, or
in any other vocation ^or business in violation of law, and all are persons oi
good repute.
Placed on file and certificate to be forwarded to the secre-
tary sJg ned by members of the board.
-Alderman Barrett moved that the board go into executive
session In the Mayor's office. This was not seconded, and in order to allow
the Mayor to talk to the Aldermen, a recess was called until 7.25 p.m. The
majority of the members went into conference with the Mayor. At 7.25 p.m.
the President rang the bell calling the Aldermen together, 4 Aldermen were
in the chamber, the ^resident announced that he would entertain a motion to
adjourn. This motion was made and seconded and the President declared the
meeting adjourned.
