that department for a period <strong>of</strong> not less than twenty years, and who is inca-<br />

pacitated for further useful service in the department, is hereby retired and<br />

placed upon a pension roll to receive as an annual pension a sum equal to one<br />

half <strong>of</strong> the annual compensation received by him at the time <strong>of</strong> his retire-<br />

ment, namely $5.00 per day, the same to date from the passage <strong>of</strong> this order;<br />

the expense so incurred to be charged to Pensions account.<br />

on the adoption <strong>of</strong> the order. Roll call vote was taken, 17 Aldermen voting<br />

in the affirmative, 1 Alderman voting in the negative, 3 Aldermen being ab-<br />

sent, and the order was adopted.<br />
