Matters hereby dissent from the report of said committee submitted this
evening whereby it recommends the adoption of an ordinance 'amending chapter
XX111 of the Revised Ordinances Relative to the Fire Department as a report
on an order dated September 11, 1930 to consider advisability of same, and
I respectfully report recommending that 'no action be taken on said order
dated September 11, 1930.

Question came on substituting the minority report for the ma-
jority report. The vote was b> j ro31 call, 2 Aldermen voting in the affirma-
tive, 15'Aldermen voting in the negative, 3 Aldermen being absent, Presi-
dent not voting, and the minority report 'was riot substituted for the majority
report.' Question then came'on accepting the majority report of Committee,
and report was accepted.

ATI ordinance Amending Chapter XX111 of the Revised
Ordinances' Relative to the Fire Department.
Be it ordained by the Board of Aldermen of the city of Somerville,
as follows:
Section 1 of chapter XX111 of the Revised Ordinances is hereby
amended by adding at the end of said section 1 the following: All operators
of pumping engines shall be designated and te'rmed "pump operators".
This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage.
Read twice and further action deferred under the rules until
the ordinance shall have been printed and a copy laid on the desk of each
alderman.
Order consider submitting ordinance relative to stopping places for buses,
reported recommending no action be taken.
