to sell, lease, rent, mortgage, convey, transfer and othersle dispose of
r.eal or personal property held or by it acquired, or to pledge the same, or
any part thereof, for money borrowed, and otherwise to do, pursuant to law,
any act or thing that may be necessary to carry out or effect the. af-oresaid
purposes and objects of the corporation.
. Said communications being accompanied by a report from the
chief of police stating that upon investigation the above named persons of
Somerville have not been engaged in the illegal selling of intoxicating li-
quors, or in keeping places or tenements used for the purpose of illegal
gaming or in any other business or vocation prohibited by law, and that all
saj.d persons are of good repute.
Placed on file and certificate to be. forwarded to the secretary
signed by members of the board.

Gentlemen:
February 24, 1930
Pendi-ng. the adoption of the annual budget. I hereby request that
your Honorable Board appropriate the sum of $1,550.00 to cover the expenses
of the Coughlin award under the Workmen's Compensation.
This order is necessary as the quota allowed for January, February
and. March will be exceeded.
