Special Meeting of the Board of Al-
dermen called by his honor the Mayor
to take further action on order of
appropriations, all the members hav-
ing been duly notified in writing,
City Hall, Somerville, September 12,
1950, 8 p.m.
The president, Alderman Carr, presiding.
Aldermen Gobron, Knox, Elliott, Perry, Pearson, Stynes, Bar-
rett, Walsh, Denning, Moran, Havican, O'Connell, Gronin, Donovan, Carroll,
Lynch, Grattan and vice-president Crowley present.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS.
Order of appropriations, Supplementary Budget No. 1, which at
the meeting of Sept. 11, 19oO was read once and further action delayed under
section 15, received action as follows:
Further action having been delayed by the invoking of section
15, taken from table and Aid. Grattan made a motion that the order be laid on
the table. After this vote was taken Aid. Grattan asked that a roll call vote
be taken and the President ruled that he was too la.te.
Aid. Stynes then moved the order be laid on the table and a
roll call vote was taken.This was seconded and roll call vote was taken. 3
Aldermen voting in the affirmative, 13 Aldermen voting in the negative, 5
Aldermen being absent, and the order was not laid on the table. Question then
came on passing the order to its second reading.Aid. Gobron, Knox, Donovan,
Lynch and Grattan invoked section 15 and further action delayed for at least
one week.
