An ordinance having been ordained In Board .<strong>of</strong><br />

Aldermen u ct. 2, 1930 transferring the Issuing <strong>of</strong> common victualler licenses<br />

from the Board <strong>of</strong> Aldermen to the Licensing Commission, said ordinance to<br />

take effect upon Its passage, the clerk <strong>of</strong> committees Is hereby Instructed<br />

to turn over the petitions now In the Committee on Licenses and Permits to<br />

the said Licensing Commission.<br />

In Connection with chapter 254, General Laws<br />

section. 1, as amended by the acts <strong>of</strong> 1923 Chapter 413 and Acts <strong>of</strong> 1924, Chap-<br />

ter 311, which is in part, " a person qualified to vote for representatives<br />

to the General Court shall be liable to serve as a juror, except that the<br />

following persons shall be exempt -- englnemen and members <strong>of</strong> the fire de-<br />

partment <strong>of</strong> Boston and all other cities and towns in which such exemption<br />

has -been made by a vote <strong>of</strong> the city council or the inhabitants <strong>of</strong> the town,<br />

respectively, be it hereby<br />

That upon the adoption <strong>of</strong> this order approved<br />

by the mayor, englnemen and members <strong>of</strong> the fire department in the city <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>Somerville</strong> shall be exempt from serving as a juror, and the city clerk is here<br />

by instructed to notify the Board <strong>of</strong> ^lection Commissioners <strong>of</strong> this change. •<br />

ing action taken at the last meeting October 2, 1930 in giving leave to with-<br />
