Walter L. Groves a member <strong>of</strong> the police depart-<br />

ment is hereby retired from active service and placed upon a pension roll to<br />

receive as a pension one half tfie amount <strong>of</strong> compensation received by him as a<br />

member <strong>of</strong> said department, the city physician having certified in writing that!<br />

is permanently disabled, mentally or physically, by injuries sustained<br />

through no fault <strong>of</strong> his own in the actual performance <strong>of</strong> duty, from further<br />

performance <strong>of</strong> duty as such member, the expense so incurred to be charged to<br />

Pensions Account.<br />
