The Board of Election Commissioners is hereby
r equested to employ for work on election day as election officers or count ing
ballots after the closing of the polls men and women who are unemployed and
not those who already have jobs.

Alderman ^erry offered the following order;,.
Ordered:
That the street light at the corner of Bradley
street and Jackson road be increased from 80 c.p, to 250 c.p. also the street
light on the northerly side of Bradley street be increased from 80 c.p. to
600 c.p. the expense of same to be charged to street Lighting Account.
Referred to Committee on Electric Lines and Lights.
Alderman Rafferty offered uhe following order and motion,

The sum of fifteen hundred (1500) dollars is
hereby transferred from Excess and Deficiency Account to Board of Aldermen
Expenses account.

honor the Mayor for his approval or disapproval.On Oct. 11, 1930 order was
returned to the city clerk by the mayor with no action taken.
On motion of Alderman Kafferty question came on reconsidering
the action taken at the previous meeting in giving leave to withdraw on pe-
tition of Anna R. Titelbaum for storage of gasoline 168-170-172 Broadway.
Action was reconsidered. On motion of Alderman Rafferty petition was then
referred to the Committee on Licenses and Permits.
Alderman Moran offered the following order,

His honor the Mayor is hereby requested jto give
to the Board of Aldermen at the next meeting complete information regarding
the "" v
the financial status of allAbidders on the Western Junior High School con-
struction work. The Board of Aldermen desires a statement of the assets and
liabilities of the companies or persons who submitted bids for that work. The
Mayor is also requested to consider the advisability of rejecting all bids
submitted and asking for new bids.
Question came on the adoption of the order. Aid. Denning of-
fered an amendment "that the Mayor give preference to local contracts". This
