The ma<strong>in</strong> objectives are to:<br />
- acquire knowledge <strong>and</strong> fundamental skills to control adm<strong>in</strong>istrative mechanisms <strong>and</strong> production <strong>in</strong><br />
the <strong>cultural</strong> field <strong>in</strong> legal, fiscal <strong>and</strong> social contexts <strong>and</strong> be able to enhance an organisation’s<br />
development.<br />
- be able to participate, under the guidance of the artistic director <strong>and</strong> the adm<strong>in</strong>istrator, <strong>in</strong><br />
implement<strong>in</strong>g the <strong>policy</strong> for communication <strong>and</strong> public relations of a live performance enterprise.<br />
With its contents <strong>and</strong> methods of supervision of the tra<strong>in</strong>ees, this education is suited to young<br />
employees <strong>in</strong> perform<strong>in</strong>g arts enterprises.<br />
Project Management <strong>in</strong> the Perform<strong>in</strong>g Arts:<br />
The ma<strong>in</strong> objective is to provide a neutral environment, free from the pressures of the professional<br />
sphere, which allows identification of:<br />
- the position<strong>in</strong>g of the project owner;<br />
- the specifics of the project <strong>and</strong> its basis;<br />
- the external perception of the project; <strong>and</strong><br />
- the strategies to optimise development <strong>in</strong> one’s own professional context.<br />
The deadl<strong>in</strong>e for applications is ideally two months before the beg<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g of every tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g course.<br />
Evaluation <strong>and</strong> assessment<br />
Perform<strong>in</strong>g Arts Adm<strong>in</strong>istrator:<br />
Student performance is evaluated throughout participation <strong>in</strong> the programme, practical tra<strong>in</strong>eeship <strong>in</strong><br />
an organisation <strong>and</strong> a f<strong>in</strong>al paper/thesis. There will be also an evaluation of professional competence<br />
by a jury on the basis of a case-study, an <strong>in</strong>ternship report <strong>and</strong> a presentation before the jury. The<br />
latter consists of professionals from private <strong>and</strong> subsidised live performance companies as well as<br />
from representatives of the M<strong>in</strong>istry of National Education <strong>and</strong> Culture.<br />
Public Relations <strong>and</strong> Mass Communication <strong>in</strong> the Perform<strong>in</strong>g Arts:<br />
Student performance is evaluated throughout participation <strong>in</strong> the programme, <strong>and</strong> a f<strong>in</strong>al<br />
paper/thesis, together with:<br />
- a case-study report on the public relations <strong>and</strong> communication for a specific period; <strong>and</strong><br />
- a presentation before a jury which consists of live performance professionals.<br />
Exchange <strong>and</strong> Analysis of Professional Practices <strong>in</strong> Perform<strong>in</strong>g Arts Companies:<br />
Student performance is evaluated throughout participation <strong>in</strong> the programme.<br />
Production <strong>and</strong> Communication of Perform<strong>in</strong>g Arts:<br />
Student performance is evaluated throughout participation <strong>in</strong> the programme <strong>and</strong> evaluation of their<br />
professional skills on the basis of group work <strong>and</strong> an <strong>in</strong>dividual case study.<br />
Project Management <strong>in</strong> the Perform<strong>in</strong>g Arts:<br />
Student performance is evaluated throughout participation <strong>in</strong> the programme.<br />
Lecturers<br />
The number of teach<strong>in</strong>g personnel is 43, 18 of whom are women. All are visit<strong>in</strong>g. The persons<br />
responsible for the study programmes are Programme Advisor Genevieve Abel <strong>and</strong> Education<br />
Supervisor Clara Rousseau.<br />
Entry requirements<br />
Perform<strong>in</strong>g Arts Adm<strong>in</strong>istrator ‘From the organisation to the stage’:<br />
Applicants should have a university degree (BA level or equivalent) <strong>and</strong> at least 2 years of experience<br />
<strong>in</strong> the area of live perform<strong>in</strong>g arts. They should also have knowledge of spreadsheet software <strong>and</strong><br />
data/word process<strong>in</strong>g.<br />
Public Relations <strong>and</strong> Mass Communication <strong>in</strong> the Perform<strong>in</strong>g Arts:<br />
Applicants should have a university degree (BA level or equivalent) <strong>and</strong> a m<strong>in</strong>imum of 2 years<br />
experience <strong>in</strong> the area of perform<strong>in</strong>g arts.<br />
Exchange <strong>and</strong> Analysis of Professional Practices <strong>in</strong> Perform<strong>in</strong>g Arts Companies:<br />
