Entry requirements<br />

Profiles: United K<strong>in</strong>gdom<br />

Applicants will usually have a GVNQ or BTEC National Diploma (merit or dist<strong>in</strong>ction) <strong>in</strong> a relevant field<br />

of study or have successfully completed an Access course or have a m<strong>in</strong>imum of 2 'A' Levels.<br />

Students over the age of 21 may be accepted without formal qualifications, subject to college<br />

approval.<br />

Course structure/Assessment<br />

All courses with<strong>in</strong> the Undergraduate Modular programme follow the same basic structure. The<br />

academic year is divided <strong>in</strong>to two semesters. Semester one runs from October to February with a<br />

break for Christmas. Semester two runs from February to June with a break for Easter.<br />

Assessment<br />

In each semester, you will study 4 modules to obta<strong>in</strong> 60 credit po<strong>in</strong>ts, thus accumulat<strong>in</strong>g 120 <strong>in</strong> the<br />

year. This is added to your previously acquired 240 po<strong>in</strong>ts to make 360 credit po<strong>in</strong>ts for the total<br />

honours degree award.<br />
