The European Media <strong>and</strong> Event Academy of Baden-Baden was established <strong>in</strong> 1999. It comb<strong>in</strong>es<br />

various programmes of basic <strong>and</strong> further education, as well as post-graduate studies aimed at the<br />

enterta<strong>in</strong>ment <strong>and</strong> culture <strong>in</strong>dustries.<br />

Content<br />

The MBA curriculum is focused on the special needs of the Media & Event <strong>in</strong>dustry. Theoretical <strong>and</strong><br />

practical courses are offered. There is no deadl<strong>in</strong>e for applications. Student can apply at any time prior<br />

to the beg<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g of the semester (last week <strong>in</strong> September) until the course is full.<br />

Special <strong>in</strong>formation<br />

Students attend conferences, TV programmes, theme parks, etc.<br />

Evaluation <strong>and</strong> assessment<br />

Student performance is evaluated through exam<strong>in</strong>ations, papers, f<strong>in</strong>al paper/thesis <strong>and</strong> practical<br />

work/<strong>in</strong>ternship.<br />

Lecturers<br />

The person responsible for the study programme is Prof. Dr Gerd Schw<strong>and</strong>ner, of Karlsruhe University<br />

of Applied Sciences.<br />

Entry requirements<br />

Applicants should have a university degree <strong>and</strong> appropriate experience.<br />
