The South Bank University achieved university status <strong>in</strong> 1992. The University's mission is to provide<br />

Content<br />

The course aims to prepare students for a wide variety of careers <strong>in</strong> the public <strong>and</strong> private sectors<br />

<strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g arts centres, festivals, theatres, museums <strong>and</strong> galleries, dance companies <strong>and</strong> fund<strong>in</strong>g<br />

bodies.<br />

Evaluation <strong>and</strong> assessment<br />

Student performance is evaluated through exam<strong>in</strong>ations, papers, research, f<strong>in</strong>al paper/thesis <strong>and</strong><br />

practical work/<strong>in</strong>ternship.<br />

Lecturers<br />

The number of teach<strong>in</strong>g personnel <strong>in</strong> the arts <strong>management</strong> programme is 8, 6 of whom are female.<br />

Five are permanent <strong>and</strong> 3 are visit<strong>in</strong>g. The person responsible for the study programme is Suzy Kerr<br />

Pertic (Course Director).<br />

Entry requirements<br />

Applicants should have a secondary school certificate <strong>and</strong> must demonstrate an active <strong>in</strong>terest <strong>in</strong> the<br />

arts. Mature students over 21 will be considered on the basis of relevant work experience if they do<br />

not meet the academic entry requirements.<br />
