Evaluation <strong>and</strong> assessment<br />

Student performance is evaluated through exam<strong>in</strong>ations, papers, a f<strong>in</strong>al paper/thesis <strong>and</strong> practical<br />

work/<strong>in</strong>ternship.<br />

Lecturers<br />

Lecturers for the bus<strong>in</strong>ess subjects tend to be drawn from UCD staff, from the relevant UCD<br />

Department. The number of teach<strong>in</strong>g personnel is two, both of whom are women. There are also 13<br />

visit<strong>in</strong>g lecturers. The person responsible for the study programme is Anne Kelly.<br />

Entry requirements<br />

Admission is open to c<strong>and</strong>idates who hold an honours university degree or equivalent qualification.<br />

Preference is given to c<strong>and</strong>idates with relevant work experience.<br />

Student profile<br />

In the MA <strong>in</strong> Cultural Policy <strong>and</strong> Arts Management Programme there are generally only one or two<br />

<strong>in</strong>ternational students each year. The course tends to attract mature students with some work<br />

experience, aged from the mid-20s <strong>and</strong> up.<br />

Course fee<br />

2001/2002 EU – 3,509 USD. Non-EU citizens pay double fees. Fees are subject to review annually.<br />

Grants or other f<strong>in</strong>ancial support<br />

There is no UCD fund<strong>in</strong>g or scholarships available. Irish students can apply to their local authority for<br />

a government grant.<br />
