Background, orientation <strong>and</strong> purpose<br />

The Institute of High Studies <strong>in</strong> Art was established <strong>in</strong> 1984. Its ma<strong>in</strong> objectives are tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the<br />

organisation of temporary <strong>cultural</strong> projects (exhibitions, fairs, festivals etc.) <strong>and</strong> tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the<br />

development <strong>and</strong> <strong>management</strong> of local development projects (<strong>cultural</strong> tourism, <strong>cultural</strong> <strong>and</strong> natural<br />

heritage etc.).<br />

Content<br />

Agent de developpement du patrimo<strong>in</strong>e:<br />

The ma<strong>in</strong> objective is to enable the student to acquire the ability to conceive <strong>and</strong> organise<br />

programmes of local development us<strong>in</strong>g <strong>cultural</strong> <strong>and</strong> natural resources.<br />

Evaluation <strong>and</strong> assessment<br />

Student performance is evaluated through participation <strong>in</strong> the course <strong>and</strong> practical work/<strong>in</strong>ternship.<br />

Lecturers<br />

The number of teach<strong>in</strong>g personnel is 50, 30 of whom are women. Five are permanent <strong>and</strong> 45 are<br />

visit<strong>in</strong>g. The persons responsible for the study programme (Agent de developpement du patrimo<strong>in</strong>e)<br />

are Sophie de Canson <strong>and</strong> Jean-Marie Schmitt.<br />

Entry requirements<br />

Applicants should have a university degree <strong>and</strong> be at least 23 years old. They should also have at<br />

least two years of appropriate experience.<br />

Student profile<br />

Students are university graduates from France <strong>and</strong> abroad (ma<strong>in</strong>ly from EEC) with appropriate<br />

experience.<br />

Number of students admitted<br />

The current number of students is between 15 <strong>and</strong> 30.<br />

Course fee<br />
