FROM: COMMITTEE ON APPROPRIATIONS -- 4.2 MARCH 27, <strong>2001</strong><br />

Your Labor Relations Subcommittee considered referrals for<br />

factoring evaluation and/or classification. We herewith submit<br />

the following and direct the proper <strong>County</strong> officials to make the<br />

necessary budgetary adjustments.<br />

A. Board Report 2-27-1.5, re: new clerical position shared<br />

between Jail Reimbursement and Emergency Services Departments<br />

---Based on factoring evaluation we recommend the new clerical<br />

position be titled Account Clerk / Office Assistant and<br />

placed in grade T08 effective immediately.<br />

FROM: COMMITTEE ON APPROPRIATIONS -- 4.3 MARCH 27, <strong>2001</strong><br />

Your Labor Relations Subcommittee considered communication no. 3-<br />

27-15 from Leopold P. Borrello, Chief Judge, Tenth Judicial<br />

Circuit, asking that Priscilla R. Whaley, Judicial Secretary be<br />

compensated at the Step 7 level of the T15 classification.<br />

Ms. Whaley has been a legal secretary for over thirty years. The<br />

waiver is requested because of her experience and specialized<br />

knowledge in the legal field. Funds are available within the<br />

Courts's budget.<br />

It is our recommendation to approve the salary waiver for the<br />

Judicial Secretary T15 at the Step 7 level, effective January 16,<br />

<strong>2001</strong>; further, that the proper <strong>County</strong> officials be authorized to<br />

make the necessary personnel changes.<br />

FROM: COMMITTEE ON APPROPRIATIONS -- 4.4 MARCH 27, <strong>2001</strong><br />

At the December 2000 Session, the Board adopted the Hay Management<br />

Study which determined the compensation for all existing, nonunion<br />

<strong>County</strong> positions. In addition, amendments were made to<br />

Personnel Policies #332 and #335 for placing employees that were<br />

hired after the implementation of the Study.<br />

Policy #332 identifies when a non-union position should be<br />

referred to Hay Management for classification:<br />
