RESOLUTIONS<br />

RESOLUTION A FEBRUARY 27, <strong>2001</strong><br />

RE:TO BORROW AGAINST ANTICIPATED DELINQUENT 2000 REAL PROPERTY<br />

TAXES<br />

At a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the <strong>County</strong><br />

of <strong>Saginaw</strong>, State of Michigan, held at <strong>Saginaw</strong>, Michigan, on the<br />

27th day of February, <strong>2001</strong>.<br />

PRESENT --- Raymond F. Bartels, Thomas A. Basil, Robert D. Blaine,<br />

Jeanine A. Collison, Robert L. Fish, Eddie F. Foxx, James M.<br />

Graham, Todd M. Hare, Kenneth B. Horn, Richard F. Mallette,<br />

Michael P. O'Hare, Carl E. Ruth, Connie D. Smith, Robert M. Woods<br />

Jr., Patrick A. Wurtzel<br />

ABSENT --- None<br />

Commissioner Hare offered the following resolution and moved<br />

its adoption. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Graham.<br />

WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the <strong>County</strong> of <strong>Saginaw</strong><br />

(the "<strong>County</strong>") has heretofore adopted a resolution establishing<br />

the <strong>Saginaw</strong> <strong>County</strong> Delinquent Tax Revolving Fund (the "Fund")<br />

pursuant to Section 87b of Act No. 206, Public Acts of Michigan,<br />

1893, as amended ("Act 206"); and<br />

WHEREAS, the purpose of the Fund is to allow the <strong>Saginaw</strong><br />

<strong>County</strong> Treasurer (the "<strong>County</strong> Treasurer") to pay from the Fund any<br />

or all delinquent real property taxes that are due and payable to<br />

the <strong>County</strong> and any school district, intermediate school district,<br />

community college district, city, township, special assessment<br />

district, the State of Michigan or any other political unit for<br />

which delinquent tax payments are due; and<br />

WHEREAS, it is hereby determined to be necessary for the<br />

<strong>County</strong> to borrow money and issue its notes for the purposes<br />

authorized by Sections 87c, 87d and 89 of Act 206; and<br />

WHEREAS, it is estimated that the total amount of unpaid 2000<br />

delinquent real property taxes (the "delinquent taxes")<br />

outstanding on March 1, <strong>2001</strong>, will be approximately $ 11,930,065,<br />

exclusive of interest, fees and penalties.<br />

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners<br />

of the <strong>County</strong> of <strong>Saginaw</strong>, State of Michigan, as follows:<br />
