RESOLUTION OF ACKNOWLEDGEMENT<br />

Presented To:<br />

SAGINAW CHAPTER OF THE A. PHILIP RANDOLPH INSTITUTE<br />

WHEREAS, On Saturday, April 14,<strong>2001</strong> at 5:00 p.m. at the<br />

<strong>Saginaw</strong> Civic Center, the <strong>Saginaw</strong> Chapter of the A. Philip<br />

Randolph Institute will celebrate <strong>Saginaw</strong>'s 20th Annual<br />

Testimonial Dinner to honoring its founder, Asa Philip Randolph;<br />

and,<br />

WHEREAS, This year's theme is "The Commitment Continues,"<br />

and, WHEREAS, The A. Philip Randolph Institute is a nonpartisan<br />

organization formed in the name of its founder Asa Philip<br />

Randolph to encourage and assist citizens to register and vote by<br />

working with organized labor and other community groups.<br />

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the <strong>Saginaw</strong> <strong>County</strong> Board<br />

of Commissioners take this opportunity on the occasion of the<br />

<strong>Saginaw</strong> <strong>County</strong> 20th Annual Testimonial Dinner to acknowledge the<br />

service provided to the community by the <strong>Saginaw</strong> Chapter of the A.<br />

Philip Randolph Institute and to encourage its citizens to<br />

continue to support this worthwhile organization.<br />

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this expression of recognition<br />
