Board of Commissioners December 11, <strong>2001</strong><br />

The Chair referred the comments to the <strong>County</strong> Services Committee.<br />

He asked if there were any additional comments. There were none.<br />

He announced the hearing would remain open.<br />

The Chair requested the audience section be held at this time.<br />

At 5:10 p.m., Chairman Fish announced the second call of the<br />

Public Hearing being held on the Petition for annexation of a<br />

parcel of property from Blumfield Township to the Village of<br />

Reese. There were no additional comments. He announced the hearing<br />

would remain open.<br />

AUDIENCES<br />

Chairman Fish requested the Clerk to call audiences.<br />

Commissioner O'Hare presented the following resolution to the <strong>2001</strong><br />

Chesaning Indians Football Team for capturing the Division 4 State<br />

Football Championship. He read the name of each team member and<br />

commented, "You were all my favorites, each one of you."<br />

RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING THE CHESANING INDIANS FOOTBALL TEAM<br />

<strong>2001</strong> DIVISION 4 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS<br />

WHEREAS, It is with great respect and appreciation for the<br />

teamwork and skill that its winning season represents that the<br />

members of the <strong>Saginaw</strong> <strong>County</strong> Board of Commissioners extend<br />

tribute to the Chesaning High School Indians Football Team. It is<br />

most appropriate to take this opportunity to congratulate the fine<br />

young athletes who make up this outstanding team; and,<br />

WHEREAS, On Friday, November 23, <strong>2001</strong>, at the Silverdome in<br />

Pontiac, Michigan, the Chesaning Indians captured their second<br />

State Championship Football title by defeating Orchard Lake St.<br />

Mary's 14-7 in what has to be one of the most exciting high school<br />

football games ever played; and,<br />

WHEREAS, The Indians waged an offensive battle against a<br />

resolute St. Mary's team, putting together a winning combination<br />

of skill, knowledge and speed to earn the <strong>2001</strong> State Division 4<br />

Football Championship; and,<br />

WHEREAS, It is a privilege to congratulate the players and<br />

their coaches, as well as the administrators, teachers, students,<br />

parents, and indeed the entire community as they are all most<br />

deserving of this achievement; and,<br />

WHEREAS, We proudly recognize the members and support staff<br />

of Chesaning High School <strong>2001</strong> Division 4 State Championship<br />
