be the cost for easements and land purchases which is being<br />

negotiated by Mr. Thompson.<br />

It is the recommendation of your committee to approve the request<br />

of the Airport Committee for an additional appropriation of $7,500<br />

for the ILS project and an amount up to $20,000 for land<br />

modification paid with Public Improvement Funds; and further, that<br />

the proper <strong>County</strong> officials be authorized and directed to make the<br />

necessary budget adjustments.<br />

ORIGINAL BUDGET (BASIL)<br />

FROM: COMMITTEE ON COUNTY SERVICES -- 2.9 MAY 22, <strong>2001</strong><br />

Your committee has considered communication 5-22-6 from the<br />

<strong>Saginaw</strong> Midland Bay Consortium Board asking to continue an<br />

Information Technology budget in the amount of $55,000 for<br />

provision of the T-1/ISDN data lines and the maintenance of the<br />

system.<br />

The previously approved Information Technology budget was used to<br />

purchase and install a centralized data base system for all<br />

Michigan Works! programs. The system links all Michigan Works!<br />

centers, subcontractors, the Family Independence Agency, and the<br />

central office with the State of Michigan.<br />

It is the recommendation of your committee to approve Michigan<br />

Works! request for continuation of an Information Technology<br />

budget in the amount of $55,000, as requested by the <strong>Saginaw</strong><br />

Midland Bay Consortium Board. We further recommend the proper<br />

<strong>County</strong> officials be authorized and directed to make the necessary<br />

budget adjustments.<br />
