FROM: COMMITTEE ON COUNTY SERVICES -- 3.2 OCTOBER 16, <strong>2001</strong><br />

Your committee has considered communication 10-16-1 from James<br />

Koski, Public Works Commissioner forwarding the Annual Drain<br />

Assessment Report and Annual Financial Report for <strong>Saginaw</strong> <strong>County</strong><br />

for <strong>2001</strong>. (The documents are available for review in the Board<br />

Office.)<br />

The <strong>2001</strong> Drain Assessment Report consists of schedules of<br />

completed drain projects, new drains under construction, the<br />

progress of proposed drain work and drains to be reassessed<br />

because of insufficient funds. Also included is the <strong>2001</strong> Drain<br />

Special Assessment Roll.<br />

The <strong>2001</strong> Annual Financial Report contains a list of all Demand<br />

Drain Orders, Revolving Fund Orders and Time Drain Orders issued<br />

during 2000. The debits and credits for all 801 (Cash) and 802<br />

(Revolving) drain accounts are also listed along with reports on<br />

the 808, 820, 858 and 870 drain accounts - construction and debt<br />

accounts in which bonds or notes were issued.<br />

It is the recommendation of your committee that the <strong>2001</strong> Annual<br />

Drain Assessment Report and <strong>2001</strong> Annual Financial Report for<br />

<strong>Saginaw</strong> <strong>County</strong> be accepted, received and filed.<br />

FROM: COMMITTEE ON COUNTY SERVICES -- 3.3 OCTOBER 16, <strong>2001</strong><br />

It has been brought to our attention by Peter Jensen, <strong>County</strong> Civil<br />

Counsel that although the Board previously approved the signing of<br />

all documents related to the transfer of the Civic Center property<br />

to the <strong>County</strong>, the City of <strong>Saginaw</strong> has requested a Board<br />

Resolution authorizing the Chairman of the Board, the Controller,<br />

and Civil Counsel to sign each of the specific documents.<br />

We agree with the request. Under the proper order of business, the<br />

appropriate resolution will be submitted.<br />
