ARTICLE I<br />

Organization<br />

SECTION 1.3. The election of Chair and/or Vice Chair shall be by<br />

voice vote (1905 LA 653).<br />

---Refer to the Legislative Subcommittee the review of <strong>Saginaw</strong><br />

<strong>County</strong> Local Acts and their usefulness today.<br />

---Refer to the Executive Committee the review of P.A. 392 of 2000<br />

regarding term of the chairperson, and ask that the committee<br />

report back to the Board.<br />

ARTICLE V<br />

Conduct of Members<br />

SECTION 5.11. A member who is contemplating has a direct or<br />

indirect pecuniary interest in a specific business transaction or<br />

contract, either directly or indirectly with the <strong>County</strong>, must make<br />

the Board cognizant of said interest and it shall be recorded in<br />

the Minutes; and further, the business transaction or contract<br />

shall not be allowed until approved by 3/4's 2/3's (10) of the<br />

full membership without the vote of the public servant making the<br />

disclosure. (Contracts of Public Servants Public Entities Act,<br />

P.A. 81 of 1984, MCL 15.321 et seq.)<br />

ARTICLE VI<br />

Procedure<br />

SECTION 6.2. A member shall have the privilege to request that a<br />

question before the Board be postponed to the next scheduled<br />

meeting; but only when such question requires a majority of the<br />

members elected and serving for passage (8); and except when there<br />

is reasonable indication that postponement would result in the<br />

denial of the motion. Such deferred question shall be taken up at<br />

the next scheduled meeting under the order of unfinished business.<br />

This section shall not apply to appointment by majority vote of<br />

this Board (elections).<br />

ARTICLE IX<br />

Committees<br />

SECTION 9.7. Additional committees may be constituted for special<br />

activities beyond the scope of the Standing Service Committees<br />

upon motion of any member of the Board with approval of two-thirds<br />

(2/3) of the members of the Board or the Chair of the Board. and<br />

with approval of two-thirds (2/3) of the members of the Board.<br />

UNFINISHED BUSINESS<br />

Chair Fish announced their was a motion on the floor from the<br />

January 9 session to adopt Report 6.1, if there are no exceptions.<br />

Hearing none, the Chair called the question; motion carried<br />

unanimously.<br />
