Your committee has considered communication no. 11-13-19 from Marc<br />

A. McGill, Controller/CAO recommending approval of a self<br />

contained budget adjustment within the E9-1-1 Telephone Surcharge<br />

Fund.<br />

During a review and reconciliation of the 9-1-1 Communications<br />

Authority Budget and the <strong>County</strong> Budget as approved by the Board<br />

of Commissioners, there was transposition of figures in the<br />

development of the <strong>County</strong> side of that budget. The 9-1-1 Board<br />

approved Budget submitted, calculated a $3,615,000 revenue figure<br />

for 9-1-1 telephone charges, while the Board approved Budget<br />

contained $3,516,000.<br />

It is our recommendation to approve a self-contained correcting<br />

budget adjustment within the E-9-1-1 Telephone Surcharge Fund by<br />

increasing the service fee revenue by $99,000 and increasing the<br />

contractual charges for services by $99,000 to reflect actual<br />

projected revenues and expenditures. We further recommend the<br />

proper <strong>County</strong> officials be authorized and directed to make the<br />

necessary budgetary adjustments.<br />
