STREET, HEMLOCK, SAGINAW COUNTY, MICHIGAN<br />

At a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the <strong>County</strong><br />

of <strong>Saginaw</strong>, State of Michigan, held at <strong>Saginaw</strong>, Michigan, on the<br />

26th day of June, <strong>2001</strong>, at 5:00 o'clock, p.m.<br />

PRESENT --- Raymond F. Bartels, Thomas A. Basil, Robert D. Blaine,<br />

Jeanine A. Collison, Robert L. Fish, Eddie F. Foxx, James M.<br />

Graham, Kenneth B. Horn, Richard F. Mallette, Michael P. O'Hare,<br />

Commissioner Bartels offered the following resolution and moved<br />

its adoption. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Basil.<br />

WHEREAS, The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality<br />

provides low interest loans to communities through its Revitalization<br />

Loans for environmental response activities at properties<br />

which are known or believed to be contaminated; and,<br />

WHEREAS, The former use of the properties located at 400 S.<br />

Elm and 451 S. Elm in Richland Township, <strong>Saginaw</strong> <strong>County</strong>, Michigan<br />

indicates that the property is or is likely to be contaminated;<br />

and,<br />

WHEREAS, Additional environmental response activities,<br />

including investigation, demolition, and a baseline environmental<br />

assessment are required in order to reuse the property; and,<br />
