SAGINAW VALLEY RAIL TRAIL - FIREWOOD/FUEL WOOD PERMIT<br />

Cutting permit is $4.00 per face cord with a maximum of 5<br />

CUTTING REQUIREMENTS AND PARAMETERS:<br />

•Only dead wood which is on the ground may be cut and removed.<br />

•It is the permittee’s responsibility to correctly locate property<br />

lines of the above described land. Permittee shall be liable<br />

for trespass violations if wood is removed from land not<br />

covered in the permit.<br />

•Cutting of small trees (brush) is prohibited.<br />

•This permit entitles the permittee a maximum of 5 face cords of<br />

firewood. A face cord is described as a stack of wood 4 feet<br />

high, 8 feet in length and 16 inches in width.<br />

•This permit may be renewed after the first 30 day period.<br />

•It is recommended that processed wood be take from the site the<br />

same day.<br />

•Firewood is for personal use only and is not be sold or traded.<br />

In executing this Agreement, you agree to hold harmless,<br />

indemnify, and defend the <strong>County</strong> of <strong>Saginaw</strong>, its elected and<br />

appointed officials, employees, volunteers and others working on<br />

behalf of the <strong>County</strong> of <strong>Saginaw</strong> against any and all claims,<br />

demands, suits, or loss, including all costs connected therewith,<br />

and for any damages which may be asserted, claimed or recovered<br />

against or from the <strong>County</strong> of <strong>Saginaw</strong>, its elected and appointed<br />

officials, employees, volunteers and others working on behalf of<br />

the <strong>County</strong> of <strong>Saginaw</strong>, by reason of personal injury, including<br />

bodily injury or death and/or property damage, including loss of<br />

use thereof, which arises out of or is in any way connected or<br />

associated with this agreement.<br />

I have read the above instructions and conditions governing this<br />

permit, and agree to abide by them in the conduct of my business<br />

on <strong>Saginaw</strong> Valley Rail Trail property.<br />
