4.That the <strong>Saginaw</strong> <strong>County</strong> Board of Commissioners shall make<br />

payable to Michigan State University Extension a sum of money<br />

equal to 100% of the total position salary and fringe<br />

benefits costs in semi-annual installments with payment due<br />

within 30 days upon receipt of billing statement.<br />

5.That Michigan State University Extension shall assume liability<br />

for worker's compensation and unemployment compensation.<br />

6.That <strong>Saginaw</strong> <strong>County</strong> Board of Commissioners shall supply adequate<br />

office furniture and facilities, office supplies and<br />

equipment, and shall cover travel reimbursement, per diem and<br />

other costs associated with carrying out the position's<br />

responsibilities funded from the ASAP-PIE grant.<br />

7.That the person occupying this position shall be an employee of<br />

Michigan State University and shall be subject to the same<br />

terms of employment, supervision and control as any other so<br />

classified employee of Michigan State University Extension.<br />

8.That this agreement shall cover the period of July 1, <strong>2001</strong>, to<br />

June 30, 2004. Either party may terminate this agreement with<br />

sixty (60) days written notice to the other party.<br />

MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT<br />

between the<br />

<strong>Saginaw</strong> <strong>County</strong>, Michigan, Board of Commissioners<br />

and<br />

Michigan State University Extension<br />

This agreement is entered into in good faith by <strong>Saginaw</strong> <strong>County</strong><br />

Board of Commissioners and Michigan State University Extension<br />

whereby the following is hereby mutually agreed:<br />

1.That a (1.5) clerical position shall be created and assigned in<br />

<strong>Saginaw</strong> <strong>County</strong> on a 100% basis to work with the grant<br />

programs.<br />

2.That Michigan State University Extension shall employ a<br />

qualified person to fill this position per Michigan State<br />

University employment policies and procedures.<br />

3.That the <strong>Saginaw</strong> <strong>County</strong> Board of Commissioners shall provide a<br />

grant to Michigan State University Extension to finance 100%<br />

of the salary and fringe benefits costs for this position<br />

from multiple county held MSUE - Special Project funds.<br />

4.That the <strong>Saginaw</strong> <strong>County</strong> Board of Commissioners shall make<br />

payable to Michigan State University Extension a sum of money<br />

equal to 100% of the total position salary and fringe<br />
