6.Pension: Pension Benefit unchanged except 25 years of service<br />

with no age qualification instead of 50/25 for the MERS<br />

program. No change in Defined Contribution.<br />

Non-Economic Items:<br />

1.Bereavement Leave changed to “no-fault” policy, similar to nonunion<br />

employees - (24 hours PTO loaded into bank upon a<br />

qualified death).<br />

2.Members must meet the MERS definition of “retirement” for<br />

retiree health care to be provided. (55/20 or 25-out).<br />

Your Labor Relations Subcommittee considered various referrals for<br />

factoring evaluation and/or classification. We herewith submit<br />

the following and direct the proper <strong>County</strong> officials to make the<br />

necessary budgetary adjustments.<br />

A.<strong>County</strong> Services Committee Report 11-13-1.6, re: assignment of<br />

Jury Commission duties to Typist Clerk I/II position in the<br />

Clerk's Office<br />

---Based on point factoring, we recommend the position of Typist<br />

Clerk I/II be titled Jury Clerk and placed in grade T10. The<br />

Clerk's budget will fund any additional cost.<br />

B.New position of Parks Specialist approved in the 2002 Parks<br />

Budget<br />

---Based on point factoring, we recommend the position of Parks<br />

Specialist be placed in grade T10. The Park's budget will<br />

fund the cost.<br />

Audit Subcommittee reviewed the claims for presentation to the<br />

Board of Commissioners. (10-16-08, 10-16-17, 11-13-05)<br />

Accordingly, we recommend the attached voucher payment<br />

transmittals be approved, as submitted and compiled by the<br />

Accounting Division of the Controller's Office, for the period<br />

September 11 through October 22, <strong>2001</strong>.<br />
