Each country determined to be modern andresponsible, pays particular attention to the legislation in the field ofenvironment protection and its improvement. The foundation fordevelopment of environmental legislation must be contained in theConstitution of the State.Strategic goal of the Republic of Macedonia is gaining the status ofa full member of the European Union. This means, inter alia,approximation of national with the EU legislation in all areas. One of themost demanding chapters is the chapter on environment.
