As it can be seen both turnoverand production value of hotels and restaurants in 2000, which make upalmost 400 million Gel and just above 350 million Gel correspondingly,are almost four times as high as in 2002.Figure 2.Numbers of persons employed in hotels and restaurants [2]Fig. 2 shows the number of persons employed in Hotels and Restaurantsin Georgia from 2002 to 2010. The trend looks set to increase overthis period.As can be seen, from 2002 the number of employees, which constitutes6.9 thousand persons, has slightly increased in the next two yearsand reached 7.9 thousand persons in 2004. Then, after a sharp rise in2005 at 11.4 thousand persons the number of employees in hotels andrestaurants remained moderately constant fluctuating between 11.4, 12.0and 11.6 thousand persons. After slight drop at 11.2 thousand persons in2008, the number of employees went up steadily over next two years andreached a pick of 16.1 thousand persons in 2010 which is more than twotimes as many as number of employees in 2002.
