14.15 RESOURCE REPORTINGThe mineral resources are reported above a cut-off grade of 5 g/t AuEq, which reflectsthe potential economics of a high-grade underground mining scenario. The AuEq valuefor each block is calculated according to the formula (AuEq = Au + Ag/53) based uponprices of $US1,590/oz and $US30/oz for gold and silver, respectively. Recoveries forgold and silver are assumed to be similar.High-grade mineral resources for VOK and West Zone are summarized in Table 14.10and Table 14.11, respectively.Table 14.10 VOK Mineral Resource Estimate Based on a Cut-off Grade of 5 g/t AuEq –November 2012 (1)(4)Contained (3)CategoryTonnes(millions)Gold(g/t)Silver(g/t)Gold(Moz)Silver(Moz)Indicated 16.1 16.4 14.1 8.5 7.3Inferred (2) 5.4 17.0 15.7 2.9 2.7Note:(1) Mineral Resources which are not Mineral Reserves do not have demonstrated economicviability. The estimate of Mineral Resources may be materially affected by environmental, permitting, legal, marketing, or other relevant issues. The Mineral Resources in this report wereclassified using the CIM Standards on Mineral Resources and Reserves, Definitions and Guidelinesprepared by the CIM Standing Committee on Reserve Definitions and adopted by CIM Council.(2) The quantity and grade of reported Inferred resources in this estimation are uncertain innature and there has been insufficient exploration to define these Inferred Resources as anIndicated or Measured Mineral Resource and it is uncertain if further exploration will result inupgrading them to an Indicated or Measured Mineral Resource category.(3) Contained metal and tonnes figures in totals may differ due to rounding.(4) The gold equivalent value is defined as AuEq = Au + Ag/53.Table 14.11West Zone Mineral Resource Estimate Based on a Cut-off Grade of 5 g/t AuEq– April 2012 (1)(4)(5)Contained (3)CategoryTonnes(millions)Gold(g/t)Silver(g/t)Gold(Moz)Silver(Moz)Measured 2.4 5.85 347 0.5 26.8Indicated 2.5 5.86 190 0.5 15.1Measured + Indicated 4.9 5.85 267 0.9 41.9Inferred (2) 4.0 6.44 82 0.8 10.6Notes: (1), (2), (3), and (4) - See footnotes to Table 14.1014.15.1 CONTRIBUTION OF LOW-GRADE, HIGH-GRADE AND EXTREME GRADE POPULATIONSWithin the final combined estimates, the proportion of metal attributable to the low-grade(less than 5 g/t Au), high-grade (5 g/t Au to 95 percentile) and extreme-grade (greaterthan 95 percentile) populations was calculated.
