6.3 PRIOR MINERAL PRODUCTIONIn excess of 5 km of underground ramps, level development, and raises were completedon the West Zone down to the 1100 Level. In 1993, a Project Approval Certificate wasissued in respect of the Project by the Minister of Sustainable Resource Managementand Minister of Energy and Mines for the Province of BC. The mine was not developedand the certificate as amended expired in 2006. No ore has been mined or processedfrom the Property, including the West Zone.6.4 PRELIMINARY ECONOMIC ASSESSMENT 2010Silver Standard commissioned Wardrop to complete a preliminary economic assessment(PEA) on the combined resources of the Brucejack Project and Snowfield Project in 2010(Wardrop 2010).The following consultants were commissioned to complete the component studies for theNI 43-101 technical report:• Wardrop: processing, infrastructure, capital and operating cost estimates, andfinancial analysis• AMC: mining• P&E: mineral resource estimate• Rescan: environmental aspects, waste and water treatment• BGC: tailings impoundment facility, waste rock and water management, andgeotechnical design for the open pit slopes.Based on the results of the PEA, it was recommended that Silver Standard continue withthe next phase - a Pre-feasibility Study, in order to identify opportunities and furtherassess viability of the Property.
